SMA Silent Manga Audition
SMA Silent Manga Audition
The SILENT MANGA AUDITION® (SMA) is a manga audition exclusively for manga without dialogue. This way, creators of all ages from across the world can break through language barriers and share their love of manga with each other.
SMA entrants not only have the chance to receive cash prizes, but also the chance to work towards their manga debut in Japan. Judged by manga legends, the best of the best from SMA may receive the chance to debut in Japan through exclusive opportunities such as our MasterClass and Artists Village Aso 096k projects.

2023 NASA Art Contest
Announcing the 2023 NASA Langley Student Art Contest
Big things are brewing at NASA. We’re filled with excitement over the launch of unscrewed Artemis 1, the first major step in a series of Artemis missions that will take humans, including, for the first time, a woman, to the Moon and eventually on to Mars. We’re also getting closer and closer to zipping across the sky with the completion of the X-59 QueSST, a passenger aircraft that will zoom from one side of the continent to the other at supersonic speed, but with a sonic “thump” that’s only about as loud as a car door closing. And last, but certainly not least, we’re readying to launch a satellite instrument that will give us critical information about the very air we breathe. Tropospheric Emissions Monitoring of Pollution, or TEMPO, will collect hourly daytime measurements of air pollution over North America and provide data that could, in the hands of certain decision makers, make everyone breathe a little easier.
So with these major innovations in space technology, aeronautics and Earth science in mind, we’re asking you to think big, allow your creativity to bloom and help us imagine “what’s next?”
NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia is inviting students in grades K-12 to draw, paint or design what’s next in science, aeronautics, and exploration in the 2023 NASA Langley Student Art Contest. The contest is open to all children grades K-12 attending public, private, parochial and homeschools who are residents of the United States.
The Art Contest submission period begins Dec. 1, 2022 and concludes on Dec. 31, 2022 at midnight EST.

JQA International Environmental Children's Drawing Contest
JQA International Environmental Children's Drawing Contest
Since 1999, Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) and International Certification Organization Network (IQNET) have been hosting the JQA International Environmental Children's Drawing Contest for children aged 7 to 15 years old from around the world, supported by UNICEF Tokyo Office.
So far, the contest has been held 23 times and this year we've had over 9,900 entries from a record breaking 83 countries and regions. In total, we have received more than 350,000 drawings up to now. Full of imagination and artistic sensitivity, children drew pictures about nature and animals, their families and the surrounding area. The pictures also contain the message towards global environment, beyond borders and differences in their background cultures and languages.
As the organizer, we hope that this contest provides the children an opportunity to think about the global environment, by expressing their inspiration from nature's bounty. At the same time, we believe that the efforts to protecting the global environment will be further encouraged through the appreciation of such children's drawings.
